Kazbegi Wins 1 621 410 GEL Tax Argument with Finance Ministry
The Supreme Court of Georgia has ruled in favor of Kazbegi, a manufacturer of beer and soft beverages, in a tax argument with the Tax Inspection. The decision is final and cannot be appealed.
The argument over the payment of 1 621 410 GEL in excise duties between the Tax Inspection of the Finance Ministry and the Kazbegi company has been under way since 2005. Kazbegi demanded that April 12, 2005 decision of the Tax Inspection on imposing the payment of 1 621 410 GEL in excise duties on Kazbegi be cancelled.
